DR. ELLIE
FRACGP MRCGP MFDS MBChB(Hons) BDS(Hons)
General Practitioner
Every person I have the privilege to meet, has their own life story, personal beliefs and values that are important to them. I endeavour to treat everyone as an individual and to partner with them in their health journey, developing a personalized plan that is tailored to their goals and lifestyle.
I am a dual qualified and double honours doctor. I am trained in both specialties of medicine and dentistry, being awarded with multiple prestigious awards during my training. In 2003, I was awarded the Deans award for the most distinguished dental graduate and in 2010, the award for the most well rounded Doctor of Medicine.
I was born in Glasgow and have a down to earth approach to patients with a genuine desire to provide the best possible care to my patients. I feel blessed to be able to journey alongside my patients and weather every storm together. I am currently employed as a senior clinical lecturer at The University of Western Australia and hold adjunct positions at both Curtin University and the University of Notre Dame.

A wee bit about Dr Ellie……..
I love my family and have the delight of being married to fellow GP Dr Stuart who also consults at St John Medical as well as being the regular family doctor on Sonshine FM. I have two teenage kids and two cavoodles, 5 chickens and two bunnies at home!
In my spare time, I enjoy painting brightly coloured highland cows (check out ellies.studio) as well as crocheting, knitting, quilting and partaking in regular parkruns at Shipwreck park in Hilbert.
I enjoy the variety that family medicine brings but take a specialist interest in women’s health, menopausal health, mental health and wellbeing and rheumatological issues.
Specialist Interests: Women’s health, Perinatal mental health, Autoimmune conditions.
